Getting to  Bath

Located in the South West of England, Bath is easy to get to - only 90 minutes from London Paddington by train and a short drive from the M4/M5 motorways. Bath is 120 miles west of London and just 20 miles from Bristol Airport.
The train station is in the heart of the city centre and there are plenty of car parking spaces available. Bath is a compact city making it easy to walk around during your visit.

The Bath Visitor Information Centre is located next to Bath Abbey on York Street and is one of the busiest centres in the country, welcoming over 535,000 visitors per annum.

Monday - Saturday: 9.30 - 17.30 all year round
Sundays: 10.00 – 16.00 all year round

The Centre will be open Bank Holidays except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
The Centre will close at 3pm on Christmas Eve.

For a stress free visit to Bath use one of the three Park & Ride services. There are services from all three sites Monday to Saturday. Regular bus services run into the city at least every 15 minutes. All buses are wheelchair and pushchair friendly.

There are over 3,500 car parking spaces in Bath city centre spread over thirteen car parks. Whether you need a short stay car park while you enjoy some retail therapy or a long stay car park to enjoy a short break in Bath, you are sure to find one suitable for your needs. Bath is a World Heritage site so please take care when you are driving around the city. There are a number of one way streets and bus gates in operation.
